Annual Giving & Membership Campaign

We need your help. New York State’s budget is in crisis. We can no longer assume that the services we provide today will be there in the future. We ask you to become a member because members provide clout!

A large membership means that a louder and stronger voice is heard by legislators and other key decision makers at all levels of government. Through membership 312 people became advocates for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities last year. Membership is not limited to Seneca and Cayuga County residents. Our members live across New York as well as in eleven other states, Canada and England.

Our goal for 2010 is to increase membership to 600. To make it possible for more people to join we have reduced our annual membership dues to $5 per member. Just $5 enrolls you as a member of Seneca Cayuga ARC (your local chapter), NYSARC, Inc. (the state organization), and The Arc (national association). For the individual with disabilities and their family, membership helps to develop:

• Advocacy at local, state, and national levels
• Acceptance and inclusion into the community
• Dollars for recreation and other under-funded programs
• A leadership base for the future
• Manpower and energy for fundraising, public awareness, special events, and educational activities.
